Company: Brown-Foreman Corporation

Distillery: Old Forester

Location: Lousiville, KY

Mash Bill: 72% corn/18% rye/10% barley

Age: NAS

ABV: 50% (100 proof, BIB)

Released: Fall 2015

Price: $45

Color: Golden Amber Gal

Nose: Vanilla, caramel, no ethanol, oak, cherry Lifesaver, sugar, there’s something else there too, tangerine maybe.

Taste: Definitely had some heat from the rye but in a balanced way, there is a nice bitter-sweetness like dark chocolate.

Finish: Nice warm finish that goes to my belly. Man, I love it when that happens with a well balanced Bourbon.

Overall: I throughly enjoy this Bourbon, it’s very drinkable and delicious. It’s got a great balance of heat, alcohol, and sweetness. It’s very well rounded. It’s definitely one to grab and enjoy by the fire or to take to your family event to make more enjoyable. ? I feel like sometimes when I really enjoy a Bourbon it’s harder to find things to say about it.

I’m digging this Bourbon, and series so far, and looking forward to the rest! Grab them while you can.
